One purpose of Deep Dives is directing you to useful info and guides from other creators. Today’s curated content is all about maps.
Map knowledge is huge in ExfilZone. Knowing where High Value Items (HVI) aka Highly Valued Loot (HVL) is the difference between extracting with a backpack full of screwdrivers and nuts versus figurines and game discs. Experienced players rake in a lot of dough because they know where to go. Luckily those fools are sharing their knowledge with the rest of us!

The Contractors Showdown ExfilZone Wiki has a lot of good stuff. I’ll be talking about the items and mechanics in future posts but go ahead check out the maps:

Noah Beij created a website with a greater focus on maps. Many of the same contributors from Miraheze wiki provided location data for this site. If you run into any of the people listed on the Showdown Wiki About page, tell them thanks for their hard work. And loot their bag because it’s probably full of HVI. (These acronyms suck. I propose we just call high value items booty.)
Let’s look at the Dam map.
There’s a lot of Dam markers. Don’t like some? Turn those Dam markers off. The map is full of Dam features. Zoom, add location, copy link to share, and even install it as a Dam app. One of my favorite features is route planning.
Looting
Once you know profitable routes you will have the cash you need to gear up. But what about those hideout upgrade items and task turn ins? Items and loot spawners have tags and an item won’t spawn in a spot that doesn’t have matching tags. For common items like pliers you can look in areas with a matching theme such as a construction site. Rarer items may only have a handful of spots across all three maps. Ask your friends or on Discord if you are struggling to find something.
Let me know in the comments if you know of any other map resources.
